January 10th: Week 6

Week 6 Recap

Week 6 was a strong week across the group. It was great to see runners engaging with the idea of good form and experimenting with posture, cadence, and relaxation while running. These small refinements are exactly what help you move more efficiently as training progresses.

Training Resources

This week’s education provided by Jess – focus on Breath Work, with an emphasis on using nasal breathing as a tool while running. Nasal breathing can help regulate effort, improve oxygen efficiency, and keep runs truly aerobic when they’re meant to be. As you head out this week, try using nasal breathing during easy and moderate runs to gauge intensity. If you need to switch to mouth breathing, it’s a useful signal that effort may be creeping higher than intended.

Like all skills, breath control improves with practice. Be patient and curious as you experiment.
